" Ugh... " Louvain took a breath, and peered back over his shoulder. He was a vampire, but even a fall like that could cause some suffering. Nearly two hundred feet up, as well as he could guess, and finally running out of steam. " Too late for second guesses... " His eyes paused on the jagged rock formations that shot up from the crashing waves like blackened teeth, and he turned back to the wall bitterly.
An age passed, and after much cursing Louvain was lying on his back, breathing freely once again. The sky opened up, and the moon became much more than a muddled light behind clouds. The vampire loved the moon, and hated it. It was beautiful, but it mocked him with the Sun's reflected light.
It was too hot. The Sun beat down on his brow like steamed lava. He shot up, and left his dream behind. " Oh... that could... could've been fatal. " Louvain crawled to his feet, and trotted shakily away from the cliff's edge towards the walled in castle, his destination.
It certainly was splendid, if ever the vampiric cliche. Well crafted stone, arched windows, and turrets to boot. He was reminded of centuries past, of an unlife far from this one. Closer inspection showed the windows unhindered by any obstruction. He took this as a good sign, and slipped through one of them silently.
The interior was cringe worthy. It housed no modern amenities, and was little more than bare stone on stone. The distaste soon passed, and Louvain was meandering aimlessly through chamber, and hall. He encountered a stairway up, but neglected it. His instincts told him down. No light could penetrate the ground, and that is where he would find what he sought.
The meandering search continued for hours until another set of stairs was encountered. A flight down, through an old doorway. The stroll became a stride, and then a jog. Louvain let his sense of smell carry him, down, and through corridor, until at last he stood before something of wonder.
A lifeless figure lie before him on a stone slab. The body was adorned in a sort of matte gun metal grey. Leather. He'd only encountered this person once on a strangely surreal night that served now as a precursor to something greater.
" Now... you will wake, and we will keep you. " Louvain bit into his wrist, and presses the bleeding wound to the lips of the lifeless one.

Xaxxa's dreams had become more vivid of late...her slumber had become less restful and even in her still deep, inanimate state could she feel the stirrings of a world that she had long left behind. It had tugged at the darkest levels of her mind on several occasions but the sweet oblivion of sleep made those moments easy to ignore.
Her fingers twitched as she felt herself being pulled up from the darkness by something...or someone still unknown to her. Her conscious thoughts began to filter through ...slowly at first but increasing in speed and lucidy hurtling her towards wakefulness. The stone at her back, the dank smell in the air, her family, her clan....all remnants of memories that now returned with haste.
Someone was near...a vaguely familiar but unusual presence. A voice seeped through the murkiness of her hazy mind...."and we will keep you" were the only words she heard, followed by silence. Xaxxa's mind screamed at her to move but her unsustained muscles refused to comply.
Suddenly the smell of blood consumed her senses and the warm liquid began to flow across her dry lips. She moaned as the sweet, salty fluid ran across her tongue causing the hunger to rise within her with urgency. In that moment all thoughts were put aside as her veins began to fill....bringing to life once more the sleeping vampiress.
Raising both her hands she wound her fingers tightly around the wrist at her lips with only one thought in mind....to feed.

Louvain stood unceremoniously, and with little concern as Xaxxa drank from his open veins. He studied with a distant amusement the dust that had collected on her long slept figure. Finally, when he felt faint from her meal, the vampire wrenched his arm away, and came back into focus with a deep breath.
Xaxxa's hunger seemed to be a good sign. After all, Louvain wanted her lively and aware, and to come with him to some unknown fate through unknown means. He missed their short lived encounter, and wanted to see more of what she was.
" Good evening, miss. " His voice rang through the stilled underground air almost jovially for someone who had just went through a proverbial hell to reach the point at which he stood. " Perhaps it is time to open those eyes, and see the world again? " Louvain wasn't sure why he had even felt compelled to wake her. Would she even respond in favor of his silly ideas?

Xaxxa slowly wiped at her bloodied lips with the back of her hand...feeling euphoric as the sweet claret ran through her veins like a train at high speed, breaking up at each interval until every fibre of her being had sparked once again into existence. The Vampiress was still very weak but it was enough to get her through a short while until something more sustaining was encountered. Her golden eyes flew open at the sound of his voice, taking seconds to adjust as they focused. His jovial greeting rang unnaturally loud in her long unused ears and caused her to cringe slightly but by the time he had finished his question her mind was acutely aware despite the sluggish movements of her body.
Dragging here knees upward she slumped forward, arms stretchin out over them as she noted with indifference the current state of her attire. The accumulated dust an indication of how long she had slept. Xaxxa rolled her head a couple of times to banish the stiffness from her neck before turning only her narrowed gaze upon the rather cute vampire from which she had just fed. "I know you", her voice scratching it's way along her vocal chords as she plucked the memory of his face from the murky depths of her mind causing a smile so slight to flicker across her lips that one would even wonder if it was there at all. She had enjoyed their brief encounter that one night so long ago but to have him standing here before her was at the very least surprising.
Xaxxa swung her legs and let them fall over the side of the stone slab which had served as her bed, her hands palm down on either side as she eyed him curiously. Her golden orbs steady whilst her lips curled in one corner of her mouth forming a crooked grin... "I suppose i should thankyou..... but without knowing the reason for you having woken me, that may be a little hasty...." She allowed her words to hang in the damp, stale air as she tipped her head questioningly to the side awaiting a response and buying herself a little time as she stretched her legs before attempting to stand.

Louvain didn't really know why he'd woken her. The million coin question he didn't have an answer too. Perhaps it was a greedy desire to have someone that no one else did? Perhaps he just had curiosity beat him into submission? Regardless of the why, it was now a done deed, and he wouldn't be able to reverse it, and so he went on with it in the dark.
" I... you interested me even before we had our encounter, and left me with a lingering desire to know more once you were gone again. I suppose I just wanted to pry an old one back into the world for a few more nights of reckless enjoyment, to do the things that we vampires do... " Louvain took a breath, and leveled his iridescent grey-green gaze with Xaxxa's equally piercing yellow orbs. He realized it may have been her eyes that drew him close, and made him wonder.
" If that answer displeases you, then I welcome the wrath. " His voiced was a shade less bright now, and he realized his approach to this was all very messy, and possibly upsetting to her.

A bemused smile danced across her lips as she watched him, head tilted curiously to the side while he spoke. She could tell he didn't have any real answer to her question which both amused and intrigued her, but figured at this point it didn't really matter too much... she was awake now, 'might as well just enjoy the ride and see where it takes me', she thought to herself.
Xaxxa lowered her head as he finished speaking, the silence barely having time to settle before she laughed. The sound genuine and oddly out of place in the dark, stone chamber. Lifting her gaze to once again meet his she opened her mouth to speak but paused momentarily, only now noticing those lustrous eyes that looked back at her through the darkness. The seconds seemed to drag before she could steal herself away from their vague familiarity. Raising her hand to her face she pushed back several strands of her dark, unkempt hair and chuckled in an attempt to cover those few lost moments.
"No, your answer does not displease...it just arouses my curiosity so i dont believe you will be incurring any wrath from me this evening Andre Louvain". Xaxxa slid down from her resting place, spiked heels clinked sharply against the stone as she closed the gap between her and the rather cute vampire who had awoken her. "However....", she turned her face up to meet his eyes as she stood before him, an amused grin catching at one corner of her mouth "if I don't get cleaned up and a nice fresh human to feed on soon then that could be a whole other story".
She resisted the overwhelming urge to reach up and touch his face and instead turned and made her way toward the door where she stopped to look back at him over her shoulder,"Oh...and if i have been summoned back for just a few nights of reckless enjoyment...well, they had better be worth it". Again she chuckled before giving a quick flick of her head, a small invitation for him to follow, as she disappeared into the darkness...

Louvain stood stark still, and watched with appraising eyes as the vampiress rose before him. She was as lovely as he remembered, and like some pale, terrible siren of the night her voice wrapped him close, and held him on a thin line between pleasure, and despair. Her song could wreck him against some jagged shore, and he knew it, but did not care.
In seemingly an instant, Xaxxa was retracing his steps out of the cold dungeon. Louvain slinked back along his path until he walked a few paces behind her. He couldn't know where she would lead him, but he did know he would follow her to the ends of the earth.
" Dust off then. We'll find you a feast, and fill those parched veins with life. " Louvain felt inadequate every time he spoke, and almost wished he could just bask in her radiance without a word. No such luck, for the time.

"Sounds like a plan Andre Louvain but I need a little more than a dust off", she chuckled feeling his eyes on her as she moved steadily along the dark ascending corridors. Coming to a spiraling staircase she stopped and looked over her shoulder unnecessarily, she knew he was behind her,she could feel him. She was stalling....she already knew the building above was devoid of any she had once known but still it did little to abate the sudden trepidation that crept slowly up her spine. Her brow furrowed as she pondered the memories that awaited her up there when suddenly the hunger tore through her body painfully. The growl that emanated from her lips bounced its way back along the stone walls and fell silent. There was no time for second guessing as her thirst propelled her forward with a strength that was very quickly waning.
Upon reaching the top Xaxxa laid her palm flat against a small wooden door which gave way easily under her insistant pressure. A soft hiss sounded as it moved across the carpet before coming to rest. She cast a furtive glance behind her, more for reassurance than confirmation, as she moved into the room that had been her quarters so long ago. For anyone who knew the vampiress, the old world furnishings of wood and iron were a complete contradiction of her personality except for the soft, black leather coverlet that adorned the large wooden bed. She noticed the layers of dust and would have most likely been saddened at the sight at any other time, but right now she had more urgent matters on her mind.
She had already begun undoing the laces on her clothing as she crossed the floor. "Make yourself at home", she said waving her hand idly about the room before disappearing behind another door and stepping into a much smaller space that served as her closet. Flicking on the light she moved with haste, discarding her old, dusty, battle worn leathers and replacing them with a shiny, black corset top that laced up the sides and matching pants that fit her form like a second skin. The black criss-cross of laces contrasted highly against the pale smooth skin beneath. Spiked heeled boots and a floor length jacket completed the ensemble. She ran her fingers through her hair a few times to shake off the dust, the crude combing giving it a rather wild and unruly look.
"So...have i missed anything exciting?", she asked, pulling a face at her feeble attempt to converse when without warning the room started spinning. She grabbed at a shelf overhead but missed and fell to her knees as her body groaned in agonising protest. With one hand on the floor for support and her other arm curled tightly around her middle she waited with gritted teeth for the torment to subside. Seconds seemed to last forever before she was able to gather the strength to pull herself to her feet and regain her composure. She had no idea if he had even answered her and hoped that he wasn't growing too impatient.
Re-emerging from her closet she smiled weakly and just prayed that it wasn't too transparent. Her steps fell softly on the plush, red carpet as they carried her nearer to him, a place she was finding she very much enjoyed being. Her voice was light yet restrained as she bit back on the screams that threatened to break the silence at any given moment...."Now where to?"

Louvain heeded Xaxxa's words, and made himself at home. That is, he sat gingerly on the edge of the bed, and avoiding tampering with anything. He looked around the room, and smiled. Her choice of furniture was very reminiscent of his own, and the similarity made him grin for no good reason.
He came back from the quick trip to crazy, and blinked at her words. Has she missed anything? I doubt it. Ravenblack never changes. The vampire shook his head, not caring that she couldn't see, because he trusted that she knew the answer all along.
Louvain watched distantly as she slid back into his view. His eyes wandered lazily from the floor to her face, drinking in the adorably hard-ass outfit she'd changed into. Louvain chuckled darkly, and stood up in front of her. He paced around Xaxxa in careful circles, and pondered just where they could go. He wasn't really one for the standard date, but it looked like taking her for a much needed kill might be the only way to go this night, as made apparent by the thinly veiled hunger that swam in her tired eyes.
" Oh dear. I think you know where we need to go. " Louvain swept the vampiress up into his deceivingly strong arms, and took her out for dinner, and a show. How cliche'.
